I still think it’s a win

Okay, so I missed last week. In my defense… I don’t have a defense. I just missed it because I wasn’t thinking. So maybe every other week would be a better goal.

Today I wrote a short story about birds. And by birds, I mean drones. It’ll be the first submission to Saturday Critique Group in 2025. …since 2023. I was a complete flake last year. I could say that I was going through some things, but, honestly, aren’t we always going through something? Anyway, it felt nice to finish something today. Not to mention, it’s a great start to 2025. I want to start attending critique group regularly again. I miss everyone and they’re a good motivator for writing.

Other goals I have this year are:

  • Play more video games (because a large number of my friends…and also Husbando… play tons of video games and I feel like I just can’t relate to them.
  • Finish a novella length story a month? Or, at least, one short story a week? I always have lofty writing goals because I never know what is feasible and what isn’t.
  • Keep up with my hobbies: miniature crafting, needle felting, reading, and journaling. I’m sure there are more.
  • Keep up with vlogging, which is something I’ve really been struggling with lately.

2025 has started both on a good foot and a broken one for me. I’m trying not to let the broken foot get to me. I just have to find a crutch. A healthy crutch. Also, my good foot is really good. Think bionic foot. Like it should start it’s own OnlyFans. That’s how good this foot is.

Anyway, I hope these last couple days have been treating you well!

*hugs*
J
