Happy Friday the 13th, everyone! As we speak (okay, no one is speaking), I have Friday the 13th Part 8: Jason Takes Manhattan playing in the background because this is the next movie in my ridiculous goal of watching the entire series.

Hey, remember when I said I would start posting more often? No? Yeah, me neither. Sidenote: Doesn’t this color of denial look good on me? Really brings out the procrastination in my eyes.

Anyway, I realized that I hadn’t updated my site since 2023, so here I am just before the year ends. See, I can be consistent… As always, I’m here to say that I plan on posting more often. I’ve been looking into some social media options and I’ve determined that:

1. I still don’t really like social media all that much.
2. I am, however, spending an inordinate amount of time lurking on reddit. Though I never plan on posting there.
3. YouTube might be my fave option based on the “I like making this kind of content” scale.

The question is really, “Will making horribly constructed videos take away from me making horribly constructed stories?” I’m going to go with “No” but we’ll see what happens in the next few months.

One of my writery friends, Linz, is joining me in starting a fun little YouTube channel. My first post went live this morning! Like…shared-to-the-public live. I would put a link to the post here but I’m going to wait until my videos get a little better. Hopefully I start improving (even a little bit) in the next month or so.

We’re doing vlogbros-style posts on Fridays (we each post every other Friday) where we update each other on what’s going on in our lives. In between those short posts, I plan on making some longer videos with writer-focused content that I can post during my weeks on the channel. The first one I hope to make is an “Coping Mechanisms for Writers with ADHD | Learning How to Finish My Sh*t” video. Because…well, I need to learn how to finish my sh*t.

Okay, that’s all for now. Hopefully (if the stars align just right and I cross my fingers and if the universe gives me a sign), I will make another post here this next Friday. Wouldn’t that be special? Two whole weeks in a row. I have big dreams, what can I say?
