updates | caffeine (the only thing keeping me upright these days), clothes, and kibble

Did I disappear again on accident? Yes. Do I know how to keep a regular publishing/blogging schedule? Um…no? Weekly blogs might be a touch too difficult for me, since I’d rather expend this energy on other creative endeavors. But bi-weekly or monthly blogs/vlogs might be okay. Let’s try that for a while.

In the meantime, I do have a vlog that I uploaded a couple of weeks ago and forgot to post here:

Lightning Round

What other updates do I have? Let’s do a quick bulleted list, which you know I love to do:

  • The vet had us switch Teddy from his regular kibble to senior dog food. After we did that, he started to really show his age. He got lethargic and slow. His arthritis looked as if it was hurting him more. So we swapped back to his regular food and it looks like he has his pep back. He isn’t waking up the entire house, yowling from pain from his leg anymore. All is right with the world. Also, is senior dog food a CONSPIRACY? *narrows eyes* …I think it is…
  • I started doing Morning Pages regularly every morning (instead of just sporadically). Is it helping? *shrug* I do like being able to write with a fountain pen every morning. I like the ability to vent. Journaling is supposed to help everyone in one way or another, I suppose.
  • Did I switch projects again? YES. Did everyone expect that? YES. I’ve been in a writing slump lately. Partially cause I don’t know what I want to write and partially because I’ve been feeling a bit depressed.
  • My newest hyper-fixation project that is low-stress enough for me to think about whilst crying into my pillow for absolutely no reason what-so-ever (yay, depression): developing my own writer uniform. So far, the recipe I’m thinking about trying out is… one part dark academia, one part pajamas, one part Lovecraftian accessories.
  • I would like to hyper-fixate on something a little more …productive, however. Possibly writing an ergodic novel. I do love quirky storytelling techniques after all. And who didn’t love “Choose Your Own Adventure” books as a kid? Heathens! That’s who! I’m just kidding. You do you. I don’t judge.
  • I bought and finished Camp Damascus the other day and I *loved it*.

What is your current project?

How do you get out of writer slumps?

Did you like “Choose Your Own Adventure” books as a kid?

What thing(s) have you been hyper-fixated on lately?

Love,
